Your Weekly Nutrition "Bite" 9.7.11
This is a great time of year to start thinking about preserving your harvest. Over the next month or so, at least in the Texas Panhandle, temperatures will start fluctuating between hot, warm and cool. These changes can be hard on summer crops but are a great reminder to start looking for recipes to make those vegetables last for months to come!
Instead of providing a list of resources for canning, preserving, freezing, dehydrating, etc. I stumbled upon a great website that contains all these topics and more! I found the "Food Science" section particularly fascinating. Please visit this site frequently and share links, resources and tips in our comment section or on our Facebook page.
Enjoy!
