Every dollar given to the High Plains Food Bank makes it possible to continue alleviating hunger in the Texas Panhandle. In fact, because of the way the food bank accesses food, we can stretch your dollar much farther than an individual can. With every $1, we can provide 13 meals to neighbors in need, so that children, seniors and families don’t have to worry about where their next meal will come from!

Do partner agencies pay for the food they receive from High Plains Food Bank?

When a nonprofit organization joins HPFB as a Partner Agency, receive both donated and purchased foods to provide to the families and individuals who need them. They share in the cost of handling this food by contributing a small per-pound handling fee. The handling fee is not applied to fresh produce, which is 100% free to our Partner Agencies. Our goal is to distribute nutritious perishable food, like bread, fresh produce or short-dated dairy items to neighbors in need across the Texas Panhandle before it spoils.

How will my donation be used?

High Plains Food Bank takes pride in being good stewards of every gift that’s entrusted to us to serve our mission. 96% of every incoming donation goes directly to food and supporting programs that provide food to children, seniors and families.
